A blast from the past

Go back 71 years and you will find 2021/2022’s must have outfit……… the boiler suit/ jumpsuit, otherwise known (in 1940) as overalls.

With the outbreak of war in 1939, women were required to replace the male workforce, which meant dressing in appropriate attire, particularly when working in the ammunition factories and so the overall took it’s place in fashion history.

Fashion usually comes around again after 20 years, a tad late with this item of clothing, however, we have had one form or other of the overalls/boiler suits over the years.

I love jumpsuits, they are so versatile, can be dressed up or down wearing with killer heels or flats, they never date and most importantly, can be worn no matter what body shape or age you are.

There are some great ones out there, in every material imaginable and from casual wear to going out and even going ‘out’ ‘out’.
