Who says you save money working from home????

Working from home saving you money is an urban myth, well, in my case anyway. The fridge has to be stocked up, the heating is always on (in May!!! – what on earth is going on with this weather???), electricity is on all day, what with kettle, lights, chargers, laptops and all manner of other gizmos and gadgets. I have to admit though, I still prefer working from home to being in the office and if I had a choice I would opt to work one day per month in the office, just so people remember me, and the rest of the time at home. The office is too peopley!!!

When Lockdown was at it’s most severe, I couldn’t have got by without AMAZON, the delivery drivers really were ‘essential workers’, delivering everything from toothpaste to peanut butter to my door PLUS all the things I needed (and wanted), to work safely, in the comfort of my own home.

Of a morning. I would get up, still do, 60% of the time (other 40% in the office – blah), quick wash, comb through the hair, bit of slap on (rarely seen without – too scary for the neighbours) and put on some comfortable attire. This is one of the sets I bought during COVID. Dont get me wrong, it’s not the highest quality, branded or particularly heavy material, but, it is super comfy, was only £22.99 and comes in about 15 colours.

Next on the agenda, fire up the Quatro (sorry, wrong show, that was Ashes to Ashes… I did like a bit of Gene Hunt, such a bad boy), power on the Laptop. I took ages trying to get my ‘workstation’ workable. I ended up buying this Laptop holder. It’s got somewhere to put my phone (essential), you can move it up and down and it’s moves 360 degrees. When I bought it, it was £27.99, it’s now only £19.99. I couldn’t work without it now.

While the Quatro, sorry Laptop is powering on, it’s time for some music (after I put the kettle on), loads to listen to on Amazon music. I do have this BOSE bluetooth speaker, it was a gift (there is no way, on earth, I would EVER pay that amount for something NOISE comes out of), an alternative to this, and I have one in PURPLE, have had it for years, is the JAM speaker, it’s great, you get about 5 hours continuous play and it’s only £19.99

So, the Laptop is warming up, the music is blaring, sorry, playing softly in the background, kettle boiled and a big cup of Hot Chocolate (with a couple of mallows, for good luck), from this, thought I would treat myself to a new MUG and found this one. Totes appropriate.

Ready to start the day, WORK, WORK, WORK. It’s a hard life but I need the pennies to buy …………. I’ll think of something.

What they dont tell you when you start working from home is that you will need to provide your own stationery, pens, notebooks, printer paper and INK!!!! OMG. Who knew INK was soooooo expensive and it doesn’t last long!!!! I shopped around for a LONG time and the best value for money was, you guessed it AMAZON. Got this for £20.99.

Now. I know this isn’t technically a ‘fashion’ BLOG, however, my love of shopping and trying to find the best deals and maybe, just something, that little bit different, covers many different genres and if I find anything worth talking about, I will.

Have a fabulous Friday Fashionistas x
