Hello fellow Fashionistas. Yes, it’s that time again. Work is over for the week and I have taken to my laptop to bore you all rigid…. AGAIN you say…….. stop it, you love me and my BLOG, admit it!
So, I may have mentioned, many times, my fondness for the colour ’emerald green’. Historically it’s been more of an Autumn/Winter colour but….. I say….. and who can argue with me, it’s time for a change…… we need to be more daring in our choices, so, let’s mix up the seasons. YAY!!
‘What on earth would I wear with this colour in Spring/Summer’, you ask yourself…. well, ask yourself no more, valapparel is here to reveal all (well, not too much, still carrying all the COVID weight and MORE).
OK. Are you sitting comfortably? Let the lesson commence.
I am going to start with my friends at LOVE IT boutique – (I have mentioned them before), the girls there are not afraid of colour, so, if you are only interested in shades of black, white and grey, then avert your eyes now. I SAID AVERT THEM!!

Mixing emerald up with a splash of vibrant colour totally changes any outfit, gives it more of going ‘out/out’ look. The green looks particularly good with Cobalt, Pink/Fuchsia/Cerise. I absolutely love all of these combinations.
I am absolutely loving the frilled blouse with dogtooth trousers. Good job Shirley and your Shirlettes.
For those of you who are a bit self conscious wearing too much colour or standing out in the crowd, opt for some tried and tested neutrals to accompany the green.
With neutrals, the look has a more Classic/Casual feel to it.
These are all from ZARA (SALE).

One of the only High St stores to truly recognise that a colour chart does actually have more than 3 colours on it.
If you do fancy dipping your toes into the (colour) waters, try adding some bright accessories…….go on, you can do it……. you wont even get your feet too wet in the process!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bright and Funky.
AND

Shoes/ sandals come in different colours too.
There you have it (I sound like Gordon Ramsay)….. that’s my take on what to wear with green this summer.
I actually plan on wearing green tomorrow……. just because I can and if you are very good, I may even post a picture of my outfit for you to critique. BE GENTLE WITH ME MATRON!!
On that note, I shall retire for the evening, take my meds and read something trashy (as I never remember anything I have read in bed the following morning and have to read it all again the next night – it’s very much a case of Groundhog Day) . BRAIN associates BED with SLEEP = SHUTS DOWN.
GOOD NIGHT.
