top tips for autumn 2023
A bit of a theme going on.
Following on from my 80’s inspired CLUTCH bag, today’s tip for FALL (I’m going all American on y’all) 2023 is…………

DRUM ROLL PLEASE……

the power shoulder
The BIG shoulder is making a massive ‘comeback’ on the catwalk ,and, as in the 80’s, the bigger, the better.
I used to love a shoulder pad, well, 2, obviously or I would have looked extremely silly!!!
For someone pear-shaped like me, the shoulder pad(s) was/were ideal as they just made me look and feel as if all my bits were in proportion, which they soooooo weren’t . If the top/jacket/dress didn’t have them, or they did, but were pointless flops, they just weren’t worth my pay packet or WRYGGES store card, for that matter.
# gutted when this fashion statement faded, but now the dimmer has been well and truly turned back up and these bitches are back. BIG time.
For this BLOG, I have decided to show you what some of the power house designers have been tantalising their front row clientele with, a little taster of how the other half live, you could say, or just me, lusting after what I cant afford. Either way, welcome to the Kingdom of Dreams…..

Not everyone’s cup of char but good to see where the where the high street brands get their inspiration from.
Keep your eyes peeled for the power shoulder, not that you could miss it, in stores/boutiques near you.
We have now crossed the halfway point, next week brings TIP 6, bet you can’t wait…well, too bad, you will need to…
Tune in for the next instalment.

Enjoy being you xx
