Well hello Fellow Fashionistas
It’s been a fraught few days for me, what with ‘IT’ issues, feeling BLUE and added to that, getting a parking ticket, don’t even get me started on that, the ticket has been returned with a strongly worded letter, let’s just say, the powers that be got the wrath of my pen!!
It’s safe to say that Autumn is now upon us, there is a definite change in temperature, no more tea dresses and bare legs when going into the office for me. (I am very fond of these dresses, they cover up the weight gain, with nobody having a clue as to what is hidden beneath and believe me, that can only be a good thing).
It’s not opaque weather yet, which is also good for me, as none of the teeny skirts will fit over my not so teeny legs, hips and butt at this juncture in my life, even after my pathetic attempts at dieting and exercising, so ,that said, I am opting for the look I favour at any point on my bathroom scales.

I am ditching the backpack (as there is absolutely zilch chance of me walking to the train station of a cold, dark morning) and opting for my laptop carrier, simple shirt and trousers, brogues and trench jacket/ coat. I am loving this combo here –
Rust Trench TOPSHOP @ ASOS – ON SALE £48
White fitted poplin shirt – ZARA £35.99
Minimalist black trousers – ZARA £69.99
Black brogues – NEXT £46
Laptop bag – OLIVIA – ETSY £64.99
OR you might fancy something like this, not so tailored, less restricted, more flowing and still ticks all the boxes – very smart/casual

Chocolate Coat – ASOS £65
Brown ‘wash effect’ trousers – ZARA £25.99
Alpaca jumper – ZARA £35.99
Loafers – RIVER ISLAND £50
Laptop bag – RIVER ISLAND £30
OR dare to stand out a bit by mixing textiles, patterns and colours

Pinstripe trousers – ZARA £35.99
Black cardigan with gold buttons – ZARA £35.99
Brogues – ETSY £95.23
Leather Laptop bag – ETSU £52.49
Stone Trench – NEXT £72.
My preferred look (for me, weight/not necessarily choice), is the second option, I am all about COMFORT just now, I cant believe I said that, (how I laughed at people who said things like that, in a previous, skinny life), but it’s so true, no point feeling restricted, uncomfortable when you are getting in and out of car, using public transport (eek, too peopley!!!) and sitting chained to a swivel chair, staring at a screen all day – NOPE, the days of mincing about in ‘bodycon’ dresses and high heels are LOOOONNNGGGG gone (for me anyway).
Obviously, these looks are just a snapshot of what’s out there, there are much cheaper, more affordable items but this BLOG was just to give you an idea of what I think looks great for office wear this season.
ASOS does great trousers in their ‘OUTLET’ , all shapes and sizes so there is something for everyone and ZARA has lovely ‘BASICS’ SWEATERS, in some great colours, I still have mine from last year, they go with anything and can be dressed up or down. As for loafers and brogues, I know it’s not everyone’s thing but EBAY/VINTED has some really quirky shoes (I even got a pair of Vivienne Westwood Mary Janes). MJ’S go well with these looks too…….
On that note, I am off to trawl my wardrobe to look out what I am going to wear to the office tomorrow. I may even show you it, if you are lucky!!!!
Have a great Sunday – make it a Funday.

And remember
Enjoy being you xx
