Good morning fellow fashionistas. It’s 5.56 am and I am sitting at my laptop poised for action. How the devil are you all? How is the New Year going for you so far? I am still trying to finish the remnants of the Christmas food, nearly there, only another 5lbs to go!!!
The beginning of the year, after the lead up to Christmas and all the festivities, is always a bit flat (unlike my tummy), with that in mind, I have been trying to find some things to do that don’t involve eating in drinking, and believe me, in the West of Scotland, this can be challenging. I did however find that one of my all time favourite films is being screened at my all time favourite independent cinema (next Thursday, good excuse to take the day off), TO CATCH A THIEF at the GFT. I absolutely love this film, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, the sun, the sand, the scenery, after watching it I fell in love with Nice and just had to go. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a HUGE fan of the debonair Mr Grant, his charisma, style and screen presence, just amazing and the outfits Ms Kelly wore in this film, to die for, absolutely stunning, so, for me, to see this film in all it’s technicolour glory on the big screen – priceless and……… no eating or drinking involved, happy Valapparel.
I’m meeting up with a friend this afternoon for a bit of a catch up and some shopping. I really don’t envisage there being anything of any interest in the shops, just the dregs of Winter Sale junk that needs to be gotten rid off to make way for Spring junk but I will let you know if anything piques my interest.
