Good morning FF’s. So, no sooner had I decided it was time to ditch the Summer gear and get the Autumn attire back in the wardrobe, than what happens? That thing that has been missing in action this summer, otherwise known as, the SUN, comes out and surprises us all, leaving us scrabbling about for something appropriate to wear. Alas, with all good things, this so-called HEATWAVE won’t last (going by the view outside the window this morning), so I shall be going ahead with my planned Autumn BLOG anyway, and be damned with you SUN, for trying to scupper my plans.
Like most of us, the shops have given up on Summer and have their new Autumn lines in store. Having had a browse around yesterday and looking online, I was actually pleasantly surprised and am thinking that I may be tempted by the ‘on trend’ colour for Autumn 24 (one that Victoria Beckham has favoured in the past and mixed up really well with other colours). Can you guess what it is yet ????????

It’s what we used to call ‘wine’ but is more commonly known now as ‘oxblood’ (not that you could call it common, it has an expensive air about it- or maybe that’s just me). This little satin number (above) is from & Other Stories and is £97, not cheap but their garments are at the higher end of my price range (and most of us).
For more affordable and more readily available, River Island has a great selection of it (click on images for prices), out of everywhere yesterday they came in tops for me for their new collection, with surprisingly, H & M coming in second – (don’t expect any OXBLOOD there, they are not big on COLOUR).

Go on, treat yourself, after the lack of SUMMER, you might as well look and feel good in Autumn.
