Good evening FFS. So, latest on the old Flabfest… lost 1.5 lb this week, yes ,it’s a loss, whoopdidoo but, OMG, I struggled by end of week, was so hungry, I wanted to, but didn’t digress from plan once and did 2 spin classes, so I was hoping for a bit more, considering what I used to cram in my fat face!!! Anyhoo….
I said I would be regimented for the first 4 weeks and I have. Still lost 9lbs in total, which is fair, however, I wanted more, (us girlies are never happy). I want this blubber off and I want it off now!!!. I have cancelled lunch and dinner dates to do this, but this week, NOPE, not happening. I met my chum Paula today in the great MERTROPOLIS that is Glasgow sh***y centre, sorry city centre…. think I was right first time…. honestly, as Jim Royle would say, Commonwealth Games my a**e!!!
I needn’t have worried about watching my calorie intake or counting SYNS when out for lunch. I chose healthiest option of Hot Salmon, candied fennel, sliced apple and lemon salad…. the salmon wasn’t hot, and it was flaked – so you couldn’t tell it wasn’t a whole piece of salmon, or so they thought my dear Watson but I could, (when you are this hungry, you notice these things), the sliced apple must have been from Hobbitland or whatever you call it, it certainly wasn’t a whole apple and the candied fennel, well, you can keep fennel, what little there was of it, it was pointless and as for the salad, it was from a bag of mixed leaves (obvs not the whole bag) and to add insult to said salad (since when was salad just some leaves???), it was the bag you get with the red leaves, that nobody likes, they did add a drizzle of lemon juice over it, double whoopdidoo, and all for a bargain price of…………………£16 – no wonder Princes Square has a lot of empty units.
Common sense should prevail, if you overprice yourself and the quality isn’t there, you wont get repeat business and will therefore be out on your a** before you know it. SIMPLES.
So, what have I learned from this?? Well, whilst on my weight loss journey, it is much easier and cheaper, to just eat at home and know, and most importantly, enjoy what I am eating and hopefully the pounds will keep dripping off, like a tap with a very annoying and tepid leak.
Home now. PJ’s on.
A bientot mes amis.
